Of course, I am of no exception but I did not count on the fact that I would have the fortune to spend a night at this luxurious palace.

It all started when me and Sis won a lucky draw contest organized by the travel agency we booked tickets from. We initially bought a pair of tickets to Hawaii as an anniversary present to Mom and Dad, and we got the chance to enter the lucky draw. Who would’ve thought we won the GRAND prize of TWO tickets to Las Vegas AND a night’s accommodation at the super duper exclusive the Bellagio? I was like ohmygosh is this true? I thought this only happens in fairy tales! Nonetheless my sister and I were elated. We were torn between giving the prize to our parents but Mom and Dad insisted we went.

So went we did. When we arrive at the Bellagio, it was first class all the way. The lobby was nothing short of stupendous. There are supposedly TWO THOUSAND glass blossoms created by esteemed artist Dale Chihuly which really made me feel like I am now in another realm. The service was impeccable; the food fabulous. Splurged on Japanese food at the Yellowtail Sushi restaurant and to end our two day stay, we saw the Cirque du Soleil. LOVED the Mystere show, everyone ought to see it at least ONCE in their lifetimes!

Do you know who Ira Riklis is? Neither did I until several days ago when I read his blog at IraRiklis.com. Seems he has been pretty busy with his life, what with him co-producing a thought provoking movie called Lemon Tree which addresses the relationship between Iraelis and Palestinians. This is a very good movie that received rave reviews from both local and international media.

Besides that, Ira Riklis also found time to donate and contribute to various foundations including the Tel Aviv Foundation regularly.
